Can cockatiel birds and pionus parrots live together in the same cage? thanks?

Also can anyone tell me if pionus parrots are good and friendly like cockatiels are? thank you very much, Juanita(:

It is possible for them to live in the same cage, however, it probably isn’t the best idea. It depends on what type of Pionus you get. If you got a smaller Pionus, closer in size to your Cockatiel it might be ok. In general though, Pionus’ are fairly larger than Cockatiels. There’s no real way to know if they would get along together, because each bird is different. Pionus’ are more laid back, quiet birds. They are more expensive as well. You would need a large cage to house both of them together. I wouldn’t advise you to house them together. Best of luck.
