I dont want to force him out…and apparently he wants to come outisde, but whenever i take him to bring him out , he uses its peck to hold onto the bars and he wont let me take him out…. I even leave the door of its cage open and he wont come out. I really dont want to force him, cuz his feathers are still too fragile and the last time i tried to get him out he hurt his feathers….

the EXACT same thing happens to my cockatiel. what i do is open his door real wide when he looks like he wants to come out (he dances around the bottm of the cage when he wants to come out) the put some spray millet on the floor where he can see it. i leave the room or hide but so i can hear when he flutters down. if this dosent work bribe him with a treat, but never force him out. target training your bird will help alot too

you didn’t say how long you have had him or how old he is.
Start- by just sitting by his cage talking to him – then talk to him and leave the cage door open so he can come out on his own when he is ready. You can also help this along by having some slice almonds or another favorite treat to tempt him out. You can offer almonds from your hand while he is in the cage to get him to realize that your hand is nothing to be afraid of. it will take time and patience but once you have bonded he will be your best friend.
